Lucent L’Amour Gets Ready To Return For More Valentine's Day Love
For a lot of us out here in LA, the age-old question of what to do on the weekend of Valentine’s Day inevitably rolls around every February. Inevitably, something that involves a bit of imagination, some fantastic music, and something pretty to look at would be ideal.
Luckily for us, our good friends at The Do Lab have been providing the city with an exceptional art and music festival for lovers and singles alike. It’s called Lucent L’Amour, and it’s just around the corner.
What’s more, this year’s show is headlined by two of our favorite acts, Beats Antique and The Stanton Warriors, who are the perfect choices to follow up Adam Freeland and Z-Trip.
The event will be taking over the Los Angeles Shrine Expo Hall on February 13, 2010 and will feature art installations, burlesque and vaudeville performances, and of course some of the best music your ears could possibly hope to hear.
“The crowd that comes out to this isn’t the crowd that’s going to a club in Hollywood,” said Z-Trip last year. “It’s a crowd that really wants to be here and is coming not to hear the latest, greatest tunes on the radio but they’re coming to hear something turned out and some underground music.”
With the event going from 7:00pm until 4:00am, you can be sure that they’ll be plenty of love and life filling the night sky for this celebration. We’ll be there to capture it all and provide the perfect snapshot to one of the most anticipated events of the year.
“A lot of festivals around the world have just become so corporate, it’s a big logo and a stage and a banner and no love and this is all love,” said Adam Freeland. “It’s something a bit different, It’s like a large community of people here who know each other on a big scale.”
